Well it was time to replace the old folding banquet table that has been in the shop for the last… well actually since we first setup shop last May or so. I had an old Spruce workbench in the basement that has been there for 14 years. It was just taking up room and collecting all the stuff no one knew what to do with.

I took it all apart (thank god I screwed it together) and Debbie and I milled up all the old 2×4 ,2×6′s that made up the old bench. We ended up with enough wood to build the table below as well as put in shelves to replace the old bench in the basement.

Chris Debbie and I assembled the table. We screwed and glued all joints as well as the plywood top, then screwed a piece of MDF to the plywood from the bottom. Reason for this was we could not decide what to use for a top and means we can replace it with something else or another piece of MDF when it wears out.

Sure is nice to have a worktable that doesn’t shake, rattle and roll around the shop

Ciao for now!
