Chris was cleaning his room.. ya I was shocked too tough to get a teenager to do that. Anyway he came out and asked if I had an extra box in the shop to keep his wallet, keys and stuff in.

I didn’t have one kicking around, but I did have some leftover cutoffs from other projects , so I created this.

Click on the picture for more views

The top is made from white oak, the main box is walnut and the trim is done in brazilian cherry, it is then finished with 3 coats of BLO (boiled linseed oil) that has been diluted with paint thinner and then 3 coats of shellac were applied. It still needs a final buffing in a week or so, but overall I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Finally getting some projects finished up and in the next couple days will be posting pictures of a very cool outdoor serving table, cross between a little side table and a serving tray.

In a couple of minutes I will be posting projects I have been working on that I remembered to take pictures of ….

Take care all and as always feel free to comment on any of our posts

Ciao for now
