Well I posted my first Android app on the Android market. Unfortunately until Google allows merchant accounts in Canada the pro version will have to be sold somewhere else.

In the mean time the free app is available so you can have an idea how it works before buying the pro version that will have many more features.

iPhone Dialer App

Well here is a screenshot of my first iPhone app. I must admit has been a bit of a blast to be writing an app again.

After listening to a lot of people complaining about objective-c I gotta say, it’s not so bad.

So next up we see how long it will take to get approved by app for the app store.

I have been in the VOIP field for probably on and off about 5 or 6 years.

As of yesterday, I finally took the plunge and have had my Bell PSTN line removed.

I have never been happy enough with the quality of server to actually commit to VOIP before now, but I have had 2 test accounts for a month now and short of some stupidity on my part I have had zero problems!

As a side benefit I also ended up with fax to email which hopefully we will be offering through UWho soon.

So now I have 2 DID’s one for work and one for home as well as dial around service for long distance and as you can see on the right of the screen fring for my mobile SIP needs.

Internet Phone Service

Well as always it has been a while, but I have an excuse this time.

Bit of a change from woodworking but I have been working hard on upgrading an internet phone service run by an old friend I met while working my last job.

I have been redoing the website and getting the ecommerce site up and running, as well has helping out on the back end servers.

If you want really good long distance rate and/or really good VOIP service then please check out uwhoomobile.com

A very cool thing we are working on at the moment is a mobile client that runs on almost ANY smartphone, self provisioning and has the ablitly to connect to SIP,AIM,MSN,YAHOO and GTalk.
